[Review] HealGel Eye

April 08, 2014

So following my last post, here's my first impression/packaging review of HealGel.

Here's some info on the HealGel Eye:
"HealGel Eye is a peerless anti-ageing formula that can help to diminish the appearance of dark circles, puffiness and fine lines.  Refreshing and lightweight it provides a perfect base for make-up or a pick-me-up for tired eyes so that you can look well-rested even if you’re not.

Like HealGel Intensive, HealGel Eye contains Arnica and Madecassoside which are suspended in liposomes with powerful peptides and biodynes to initiate a uniquely soothing and collagen boosting process.  Sluggish micro-circulation is stimulated and irritation is soothed.  In addition, HealGel Eye contains a duel action hyaluronic acid complex that locks moisture deeper into the skin and firms the eye contours.  The effect is to soften the appearance of fine lines, even skin tone and improve the elasticity of the skin through intense hydration.  Light diffusers in the gel further improves sallow areas for a brightening and smoothing effect."

When I first read that I thought "PERFECT for my eyes!" because I get puffy dark eyes often enough, not all the time now, but they always come when I least expect it! So when I was emailed if I would like to sample this product, I jumped with joy and hit YES.... well, that's if there was a "YES" button on my keyboard, but unfortunately that was not the case. I simply wrote a nice reply to say how I would be delighted to sample and review the product. Yes, manners is important when writing emails, especially when someone so kindly offered to send you a sample to review.

The HealGel Eye came nicely packaged with a brochure of the other types of HealGels available from the company. Check out their website for more details!

My first impression of this product was that it looked like prescribed medication you get from the doctors. But in saying so, it looked cool in its own ways. Using the "prescription"-style packaging everything you needed to know about the eye gel was very well laid out and easy to read, so I think it works! Plus, the colours are actualy quite pretty and attractive on the eye. Simple but effective as one might say, and it doesn't look cheap in the slightest as some might think of a prescription bottle, in fact I think the way its packaged makes it look expensive!

I like how the bottle uses a pump instead of a jar with a lid because the pump means less bacteria will get into the cream so won't go off as quick and less likely that bacteria will get in (from your fingers). Good job HealGel!

I have never heard of either products before the lovely Rosie sent me an email asking if I would like to sample and review these products. I was intrigued and gratefully accepted and I'm so glad I did. These products, even though I have yet to try the out, have given me a very positive first impression. So much so that I can't wait to use them!

Stay in tune as I shall give a full review of the both products in a couple of weeks!

Have anyone else tried these products yet?? What do you think?
