Using miss sporty lip liner in toffee, miners lipstick in barely buff and no7 in coral rose

Thank god it's FRIDAY!! I just am so happy to have the weekend to myself! haha
The first of the Rimmels "Scandaleyes" range I reviewed was their eyeshadow paint [here]. I have to say I really love the product so I was looking forward to trying out their Mascara in Jet Black from this range! So here goes...
As you can see, the packaging is rather slick and stylish (simple but stylish!) Only thing bad to say about the packaging is that it's rather bulky so it does take up a bit of space in your makeup bag (at least that's what I noticed with mine)!
Rimmel called this application brush a "broken heart brush". Now, in my honest opinion, I had such a problem with this brush. It was simply just too big (as you will see in the photo below). The base of the brush was so massive I found it really hard to apply the mascara on cleanly so I had to use the tip of the brush for the application. The size of the brush just seemed rather pointless to me as I couldn't even use it properly. The only good thing about the brush shape was that I found applying the bottom lashes a bit easier... but that doesn't really compensate for the messy application to upper lashes.
The mascara itself (not the brush!) didn't really do much apart from make my eyelashes black-er and a tiny bit longer (I haven't tried any other colour yet, but when I do I'll let you know!) It's quite wet, hence when using the big-ass brush to apply it onto your eyelashes it can get messy, and the fact that you need multiple layers for you to get any volume in your lashes makes it more stressful.
Another thing is it's not waterproof in the slightest! One touch of water and it will run, so make sure if you're using this mascara on your night out or whenever that you turn your "water-works" off for the night, no matter how much you've drank (i.e. cry and you'll find your mascara running down your face). Though I guess it's not all bad, I mean if the mascara gets EVERYWHERE when you are applying it, it means it'll be super easy to get off! Also it's very easy to remove at the end of the night, water works a charm and that means you won't have clumps of left over mascara on your lashes over night (that can be a reason for sties!)
As you can see in the photo above, the left lashes has mascara on and the right is bare. The main difference is the left side is darker and a tiny bit longer than the right.
Would you recommend this product?
This product retails at €9.49 in Boots if anyone wants to try it out, but I wouldn't recommend it. I think you'd find other products that are much better at that price or just a little more! For €9.49 you're paying for the stress of the mess after the mascara application. On top of that, it doesn't really do much, at least not for me.
Okay, rant over. To put it simply, I would not pay for this product because it takes too long to apply and the mess after is stressful at times.
Anyone else tried this mascara before?? Did you guys have the same problem?

So I want to do a quick review for you today! It's Wet n' Wild's eye shadow palette in Walking on Eggshells. This is my "go-to" eye shadow palette when I am in a rush or doing a very natural look! The colours are beautiful and pigmented which gives it a very nice natural finish! I'd wear this to work some days and the girls would ask if I am wearing make up at all! Like how some say "my lip colour but better" I would say "my eyelid colour but better" if that even makes sense!
As you can see in my photos, the eye palette comes in 3 colours (t-b: cream, brown, nude pink)
The great thing is they tell you where each colour goes, so you don't have to put much thought in where you will apply the colours! Though if you are adventurous, you can experiment using the colours are various places, for example, the browbone shade can be used as a highlighter as well so you could apply some of that on the upper cheek bones and down the middle of your nose if you wanted! (I didn't do it here but that's just a suggestion!)
As you can see the makeup on my eyes are extremely neutral and natural looking! The brown isn't dark at all, so it just about creates a faint shadow where the crease of my eyelids would be!
Would you recommend this product?
All in all, I would definitely recommend this palette as I think it's perfect for those who love the natural look and it's also very easy to apply and use!
Oh and did I mention it's extremely affordable too?! Depending on where you get it, it's under the $5 budget! For me I got it for €3 on Adverts.ie! (if you live in Ireland, I'd recommend you check out this site for cheap bargains, though you do have to be careful of fakes.)

So if you don't know already, I am a HUGE fan of Lancôme lipsticks. They are one of the best lipsticks out there and if you've never tried them, I would say they are well worth it. They are a bit pricey, so I'd recommend you wait for their sales! Lipsticks usually go to half price!
Here I come with another of their lipsticks.
The lipsticks from Rouge In Love are so beautiful and the formula is so hydrating! The packaging of the lipstick is stylish and classy, slick and easy to use!
The lipstick is creamy in texture and hydrating on the lips! It doesn't leave my lips feeling dry and the colour is great!
The colour is a pinky brown colour and a perfect nude! This is now my new "go to" nude lipstick (after a terrible unfortunate event where my Trendy Mauve Lancome lipstick got run over by a car! *sobs*)
This colour will suit every skin tone and it really does look gorgeous on. Subtle, but noticeable!

I'm sure many of you go to beauty salons to get your nails done (nearly everyone where I work get their nails done by a beautician!) but if you're a poor student/graduate like me, the cheaper the better!
I am here with you today to show you how you can do your own glitter tip nails.
What you'll need:
Clear nail polish (I'm using No7 So smooth base coat)
Glitter (I'm using Essence's Glitter dust in 03 Angel dust), you can use whatever colour glitter you want.
So here are the steps:
1. Apply the base coat (1 layer), and wait till that is fully dried!!
2. Apply a thin layer of the clear nail polish on the tips of your nails (you can decide for yourself how far down you wait the glitter part to go)
3. While the tips are still wet, gently dip your nail into the glitter. You will get lots of excess glitter on the nail (hence NB that the base coat is completely dry before you do step 2!) so just tap your nail gently onto the table or hard surface. Wait until it's nearly dry (or dried) then you can gently brush off the rest of excess glitter with your finger (do it very gently!)
4. When everything is completely dry, get the clear nail varnish again and apply generous amount of it onto nail, to cover the whole nail! Wait till it completely dries, then do another layer!

Hello bloggers (especially to the female bloggers!),
I don't know if it's just in Ireland, but when you're in University, some clubs and societies will organize a "Valentine's Ball" come valentines day! I know this is the case with Trinity College Dublin (the uni I studied in) and girls would get really dressed up and wear these beautiful dresses and the guys would wear suits/tuxedos! Very professional!
This post will be about beautiful dresses you can wear to these balls, proms, debs etc as I'm sure some of you bloggers will be attending one or a few of these very soon, or sometime in this year which means you'll be looking at dresses either ways!
So, I recently discovered this beautiful website "Fanny Crown" (check the link out and you'll be dazzled!) and I am absolutely blown away by all the beautiful dresses they have on offer!! Fanny Crown dresses are all unique and stylish, and there is definitely at least one dress in their collections to suit everyone (I say at least one, but I really mean LOTS!) Some of their dresses can be tailor made and the best thing I think they offer is the range of colours for each dress they have, because I often find that I see a dress I like, but they don't have it in the colour I would wear (Darnit!).
I have literally gone through their WHOLE collection and I've picked out these few dresses as my personal favourites! There's just too many to choose from I can't decide on a single dress! I'm sure you'll have the same issue when you check out the site (Oh I would buy everything if I could!)
SO here we go.... *drum rolls*
1. You can find this dress here. You may think "Oh this is so simple.. Pfffft".. well "pfffft" to you because the fact that this dress is simple, yet elegant, means that you can wear it out to a dinner, date, shopping, etc, so you can actually get many wears for this dress!! You can dress is up (for eg, if you are going to a Ball) by wearing elegant jewellery such as crystal earrings and necklaces such as these:
2. Dress Number 2 can be found here! For those of you who do not like wearing long dresses, this one I think is so beautiful! There is still some length to the dress from the back of the dress, but short at the front, and I think dresses with a tail at the back really makes your leg look longer (especially if you wear heels with it!) The dress style is just so elegant and perfect for any special occassion! Best part is you can wear it over and over again! The sweetheart cut softens the chest area and makes the dress look super sexy on and accentuate curves (mmm... sexy curves!) I would, again, match this with crystal jewellery or anything that is simple and sparkly with this dress, but you don't want to overdo the sparkles because the top part of the dress is very sparkly as it is! Don't want to blind anyone! hehehe.
3. Dress number 3 can be found here! I love sweet heart cut dresses because it just adds to the elegant-ness (is that a word??) of the wearer. I find that with dresses that cuts straight across can make your shoulders look broader, so the curves in the sweet heart cut, again, just gives it a softer touch.. (can't you tell I just love sweetheart cut dresses?)
I couldn't leave this dress out because it's just so simple, yet so beautiful. There's a sense of expensive style to it, even though there are barely any sparkles and I think the black belt look really adds to the dress, gives the idea of a smaller waist because black colour makes things look smaller so when it's against a light material, it works. :) Any jewellery would work with this, you can go very sparkly or keep is simple, because the dress is simple, it won't look overdone.
This dress would be wonderful for a ball, prom or a fancy dinner party!
The next two have got to be my favourite dresses of the lot... I think!
4. Dress number 4 can be found heeeeeere! Sweeeet heaaaart coooooot! Hahaha. What can I say about this dress apart from "OMG JUST LOOK AT IT!" Everything about it is just so elegant and high class! I love this colour and find the dress full of style! I just could not NOT write about it! It's a flowy dress so if you eat too much, no one will notice! This dress is perfect for proms, debutants ball, Valentines ball, any ball, weddings, whenever you want to wear it really! Sure I'd wear it to sleep if I could! hehe
Again, I'd personally keep the jewellery minimal on this because the bust area is very sparkly so you can even do without any necklaces and wear very sparkly earrings to make up for it! :)
Now the next dress.. WOW... Get your eyes ready!
5. I got to say, I think this dress is probably the winner for me.. Probably! Oh indecisive me can't really pick, but when I saw this dress here I was transfixed by the beautiful and unique style of this dress! Don't you agree?! The back of the dress is what I found so sexy! I love dresses with exposed backs because it really adds to the sexiness of the dress (you can expose as much back as you want, but there's only so much boob you can expose before it becomes branded as "slutty"!) And what's great about this is that they have SO many colour choices for you to choose from! It might be a bit chilly, so you could pair this with a nice bolero jacket or a nice wrap! Or if you have a man, get him to keep you warm! Who wouldn't if you wear this sexy dress! I'm a girl and I'd keep you warm! Haha.
Now that I've shown you the dresses you could wear to upcoming balls, proms, debs etc, I might as well show you what make up I think would look best with these dresses!
Right, so for all the dresses (especially the full length dress) I would keep the makeup simple, mainly nude, but you can exaggerate the eye make up to add a bit of "umph" (as in sexiness)! The last thing you want is to overdo anything! If you are wearing sparkles everywhere, nude lips with sexy eye make up (refer to above picture) can really add sexiness and elegance to your face. (you don't have to use blue eye makeup, you can use the colour that is of your dress or gold or bronze sparkle dust can be very pretty!)
For the hair, I think if the dress is strapless, having your hair in an up-do and showing your shoulders off can be super sexy (everything is about sexiness, right?) But up-do's add elegance I feel and with a full length dress, it'll just look stunning!
Nails, I would do something like this with glitter tips. My next post will be a tutorial on how to do these nails! :)
I've selected these mainly for the short dress number 2 because it's simple and white! Any dress that is white you can pretty much do whatever you want with the make up as there won't be clash with colours! So for those of you who love strong makeup (make a statement with those beautiful deep red lips!) this make up and hair style will really make your face stand out of the crowd! Now a tip is don't wear too much sparkle jewellery with this makeup because it will take away from the face and can make it look a overdone! With this makeup, I'd wear simple studs and maybe a simple necklace!

Today I decided to go for the casual look because it was very cold and windy so didn't feel like it was quite appropriate for a dress.
Firstly, skinny jeans go with pretty much everything and anything! So I personally have to have at least one pair in my wardrobe because you can dress it up or down!
A snood can really add to the outfit I think. It makes it that little bit more elegant? I don't know exactly how to describe it, but I think scarves and snoods add dimension to your outfit, and as well as that they keep you warm especially in this cold weather in Ireland!
I am wearing a long pocket watch style necklace I bought from Asos.com which I think looks great with casual outfit because it can add style to a plain top like this one if you take your snood off.
I am wearing a grey long top I bought from Pennys (or some know it as Primark) when it was on sale and only costed my €1!! Best buy for clothes yet! I like this top because it's long which makes my body and arms look longer and slimmer! I find with short tops it makes my body look short and wide, so I rarely wear short cut tops. The only con with this top is that it's 85% cotton and I find that it's not great if you sweat a lot because it WILL show and on grey, it comes out as a dark grey. But this can be solved if you want to wear a blazer over it! Makes it look quite classy!
I wore my tan leather boots with this outfit and when it's cold I wear my thick winter socks over my skinny jeans to keep my toesies warm!
So there you have it, my OOTD.

Wow... such a long title! But I didn't know which part is important, so I thought might as well put all of it in! Hehehe
Well I have a new product to review for my fellow bloggers today.. (tonight for me!). I have a 100g squeezy flat tube of Montagne Jeuness's Damask Rose: Ultra Deep Cleansing Masque.
After I cleansed my face, I used this product for "ultra deep cleansing", not sure if I needed it, but sure why not! After I applied the mask I figured, I might as well write a review on this while I'm doing it! So here it is!
This mask has a muddy/clay texture which can get messy if you buy the small sachets, but this tube is a squeezy tube as you can see so it was quite mess free for me. It says on the front that you can get up to 10 applications from 100g, but maybe that's if you apply thin layers. Though, I can't say seeing as I've only done one so far!
Just make sure to shake it down first every time and squeeze a bit at a time because if you're planning on squeezing enough clay for the whole face in one go, there are some trapped air bubbles in there which may lead to some little explosions (yes I have learnt from this so I am just warning you all in advance!)
So once you've applied to your face, you wait for 15-20 minutes... do do doo doo doooooooo....
NOTE: While I was waiting, I did notice some tingly/ faint burning sensation, but that went after a minute or two, so I figured it's fine..(hopefully!) I should have done an irritation test before but completely forgot so make sure you do one! Don't be silly like me.
*20 minutes later*
After 20 minutes, my face was rock hard.. haha, well the clay had dried out completely, but it was very easy to wash off, so no complaints there!
So what did I think of it? I felt like my face was freshened up and there as a wee glow? Don't know if I'm just greasy there or if it's a nice glow, but I my skin did feel a little tight after a few minutes, so if you are to use this, I'd advise a good moisturizer after, because if your skin feels tight, it means that the mask is probably on the drying side for the skin, well mine anyways!
I'll have to review this again after I've used it a few times because this is just my initial opinion of it.
But I did enjoy it! :) All that was missing was cucumber for my eyes!

I'm just like most girls who get dry flakey lips and when this happens, lipstick just does not look pretty at all!
SO what can you do to solve this that is free and easy to do?
1. Get yourself an old toothbrush
2. Put some vaseline/petrolium jelly on your lips
3. Brush your lips gently in circular motion (Don't scrub really hard because it will hurt and may even break skin) and you can even do this when you're watching TV!
4. After about a minute or 2 (Or when your lips feel smooth!) apply a lip balm on your lips!
And voila! Smooth, moisturized lips!
Here's my before and after (I used some lipstick to show you how dry and flakey it was)

And just a tip, if you plan to use lipstick, do this the night before so your lips will have time to get moisturized over night and will be lipstick perfect when you're applying makeup next morning!

I would start every morning when I wake up,
1. I wash my face: wet my face with warm water, use a face wash (currently using one with an exfoliator) and massage gently into my face in circular upward motions using my index and middle finger and making sure to massage into the greasy areas of my face (usually the forehead, nose and chin).
2. I splash warm water into my face: and again with circular motions wash the dirt and soap off my face, never be rough with washing your face.
3. I pat dry my face: usually with a towel.
4. I use a toner: at the moment I use Simple facial toner. Sometimes I just put a few dribbles onto the palm of my hands and then splash it on my face and pat it in. If I have cotton pad I would apply the toner generously to it and wipe in a gentle upward movement over the skin.
5. Once the toner is dried on my skin, I use a face cream to moisturise my face: I'm using simple replenishing rich moisturiser at the moment. I would squeeze a pea size onto my middle finger and then use the middle three fingers of both hands and warm the cream slightly, then apply it onto my face and massage it in using upward and outward movements.
6. I use an eye cream: currently using Elizabeth Arden Perpetual Moisture 24 Eye Cream. I find it keeps the skin of my eyes (especially the under eye bit where the skin is much thinner) moisturized which helps with reducing wrinkles and creases. I would take a very small amount (a very thin layer of cream) with my index fingers (one on each), then I would pat it on under my eyes and around it. VERY IMPORTANT not to rub it in as that will stretch the skin.
7. I use vaseline on my lips after to keep them moisturised: Reduces flakiness when putting lipstick on later.
And that is the end of my daily skin routine!
I would do this twice a day, morning when I wake up and before bed time! This is a great way to keep the skin refreshed, clean and healthy! I used to have blotchy and terrible skin with dry patches and creases, but after I've done this a few times you really do notice the difference!
The results aren't immediate, so try it out for a week and see how your skin feels! Take a before and after photo and I'm almost sure you'll see even a bit of difference!

TIP OF THE DAY: Try not to use make-up remover WIPES because when you rub your face with them it does stretch your skin, even a little, which increases chances of wrinkles. If possible, use a face wash! :)
